Identity: imagine it as a physical object that you can give someone, they hold it and power over us. We give it to many people but most often to our spouse.
Insecurity: our emotional stability is based upon someone else, the person we’ve given ourselves and our power to. We need to look at what’s under the surface. Often it is self-centered motivations.

Our Adversary, Satan, is against marriage and hope.
We must pray aggressive warfare prayers—because it is powerful and with it we win. It is offensive (vs defensive) prayer.
Six key parts to this prayer:
Give glory to God
Give thanks for Jesus, his Son
Pray in the name of Jesus
Claim authority in Christ by Christ and ask for what we need
Ask for an indwelling of the Holy Spirit
Give thanksgiving

Every marriage goes through storms: sometimes regular struggles, and sometimes tragedy/trauma.
69% of marriages have conflicts that are never resolved.
Who is in your boat in the storms?
